King's Cross Summer Sounds: a free music festival at Coal Drops Yard

FreeKing's Cross

A free, no-tickets-needed music and dance festival takes over Coal Drops Yard every August, now in its 11th year. In 2026 it runs 13 to 23 August with live concerts every evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and Family Sundays from 1pm to 6pm, spanning folk, jazz, soul, classical and indie rock. Right by King's Cross St Pancras station.

Go East Vintage runs a free vintage flea market most weekends at Maltby Street in Bermondsey, plus an indoor edition inside the railway arches on selected weekends. Free entry, no ticket, dog-friendly, just turn up. Expect 40 plus vintage sellers with furniture, vinyl, cameras, fashion, jewellery and odd little treasures, right by Maltby Street Market's food stalls. Dates move around a little, so check Go East Vintage's Instagram for the exact weekend before you go.
