The lowdown
Bath is one of those places where the city itself is the attraction. The Georgian terraces, the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge are all free to walk up to and gawp at, no ticket needed.
Several of its museums are free too and the riverside and parks make an easy afternoon. The Roman Baths and the Thermae spa are the famous paid bits, but you can do a full day on foot for nothing but the train down.
